About SMS System
I was one of the first five employers in the UK to receive a sponsor licence.
At our peak, I was managing over 150 sponsored employees across multiple sites. In one year alone, I had three Home Office compliance visits.
I know what it feels like when an inspector arrives unannounced. I know which documents they reach for first, which questions they ask, and what a missed 10-working-day reporting deadline actually costs — not as a statistic, but as something I lived through.
I built SMS System because the tool I needed didn't exist. I was managing compliance with spreadsheets, shared folders, and calendar reminders — and constant anxiety that something would slip through the cracks.
I've also spent years helping other UK employers navigate their own compliance visits — over 100 organisations across care, construction, hospitality, and IT. I've seen the same mistakes repeated, and the same preventable revocations happen to good employers who simply didn't have the right system in place.
SMS System is the tool I wish I'd had. Every feature — the 10-working-day reporting clock, the Appendix D audit pack, the SW 14.3B rolling-window salary check, the CQC compliance gate — exists because I've personally experienced what happens when these things go wrong.

What drives us
Most sponsor licence revocations are not deliberate fraud. They are missed deadlines, salary thresholds that drifted, incomplete Appendix D records, and reporting obligations that nobody tracked properly.
3,100+ licences were revoked in 2025. Behind each one is an employer who didn't set out to break the rules — they just didn't have a system that watched everything simultaneously.
That's what SMS System does. It watches everything, so you don't have to.
We built it for the care home manager with 20 sponsored workers and no dedicated compliance team. For the construction firm whose sponsored workers move between sites every few weeks. For the IT company whose developers work remotely and whose bonus structures interact with salary thresholds in ways nobody warned them about.
We built it for employers who take their responsibilities seriously and just need the right tool to prove it.

Data sources
Our compliance rules are built against primary sources: the Immigration Rules (Appendix Skilled Worker), the Home Office sponsor guidance (Parts 1–3), CQC's own Regulation 18/19 guidance, and skillsforcare.org.uk for care-sector standards. We update our rules when the guidance changes — not when a secondary source reports it.
